New NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Champions Crowned

During the 12/17 edition of NJPW‘s Road To Tokyo Dome, Guerrillas of Destiny & Bad Luck Fale defeated EVIL, SANADA & BUSHI of Los Ingobernables de Japon to win the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championship. LIJ had held the titles since May and were the longest reigning champs in the trios division’s young history. The match also served as a modicum of revenge for the Bullet Club members, as EVIL & SANADA defeated G.O.D in the finals of this year’s World Tag League. At press time, Bullet Club are set to defend their newly won titles in a gauntlet match at Wrestle Kingdom 12

Jay White Attacks Hiroshi Tanahashi Ahead Of Wrestle Kingdom

During 12/18’s Road To Tokyo Dome show, Hiroshi Tanahashi attempted to address the audience, but was cut short by “Switchblade” Jay White. White dressed down the IWGP Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion and then attacked the Ace of New Japan, starting a wild brawl. The two are set to meet on January 4th in the Tokyo Dome for Tanahashi’s title.
