Met Gala 2023: Amanda Seyfried Stuns in a Sheer Gold Mini Dress

A goddess in gold! Amanda Seyfried stepped out at the 2023 Met Gala in a custom Oscar de la Renta mini dress that’s taking the internet by storm thanks to its daring, nearly-naked design.

The Dropout actress, 37, looked equal parts regal and sexy on the red carpet at the Monday, May 1 gala held yearly at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Styled by renowned red carpet fashion stylist Elizabeth Stewart, Seyfried’s dress featured elaborate cascading beading and a skin-tone corset underneath.

Stewart elevated the ensemble’s extravagance even more with finishing touches, including coordinating gold-heeled sandals and breathtaking Cartier jewels.

Seyfried’s beauty look was equally stunning.  Her hairstylist, Renato Campora, parted her blonde hair in the center, styling her long tresses in voluminous, brushed-out waves that added volume and glamour.

Her makeup was brought to life by the talented Genevieve Herr, who made her bold red lip the centerpiece of the overall glam. Complemented by rosy eyeshadow, the Mamma Mia! star’s makeup look was the perfect addition to her golden goddess ensemble.

This year marks Seyfried’s fourth appearance at the highly-anticipated Met Gala, but it’s her first time breaking away from traditional floor-length gowns for a dazzling mini dress. Her last appearance was in 2018, when she wowed the crowd in a yellow Renaissance-style Prada gown that complemented the Heavenly Bodies theme.
