Mana To Tour 13 U.S. Markets
Maná, the legendary Mexican band that opened the door globally to Latin rock, will kick-off their 2002
Revolucion de Amor World Tour with a l3-city string of arenas and amphitheatres in the US, beginning September 29 at Denver’s Magness Arena and winding down October 31 at Chicago's Allstate Arena.
Maná will donate 50 cents out of every ticket sold to the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) CLASE Scholarship Fund to benefit Latino college students across the United States and Puerto Rico, and the Coors Brewing Company, whose Coors Lite is the official sponsor of the tour, will match the band’s contribution. Over $200,000 in scholarship funds is expected to be raised by the U.S. tour.
Mana has toured with Santana and performed for l04,000 fans in Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium, donating proceeds to 24 Chiapas communities. They also broadened the work of their Selva Negra (Black Forest) Foundation, which includes the protection of endangered turtles, crocodiles, wolves and humpback whales, reforestation projects in Colombia, and partnerships with Greenpeace and Amnesty International to raise awareness for local issues.
