Chris Brown's Japan Tour Postponed Over Visa Woes

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Chris Brown's current legal troubles after his standoff with the Los Angeles Police Department in late August may have led to the postponement of a series of performances in Japan over visa issues.

According to TMZ, Japanese immigrations authorities denied Brown a work visa for his performance in Tokyo which is scheduled for next week. Brown is slated to perform 2 shows at the Tokyo International Forum on Sept. 26 and 27. Japanese promoter Creativeman has listed the shows as postponed "due to a logistical Visa issue" and a "difficult situation."

Brown is currently being investigated after former beauty queen Baylee Curran claimed that Brown pulled a gun on her while she was in his home. The incident led to a standoff with police after Brown exercised his right to prevent a police search of his home without a warrant.

Brown maintains his innocence in the case, claiming during a press conference earlier this month that no drugs or guns were found in his home during the search and that he was set up by his accuser.

Last December, Brown had to cancel a string of dates in Australia after authorities there suggested that a work visa for Brown was unlikely after his criminal conviction for assaulting his then romantic partner Rihanna in 2009.
